I JUST GOT OFF A ..............UMM......28 hour bus!!!

it was really long, like so long. like longer then a whole day and whole night.
we were sitting next to this couple who i think...they were like the equivelant of chilean bogans, and they had phones that played music really loud out speakers and played really loud reggaeton .....
if you dont know, reggaeton is this style of music that is REALLY big here, its playing in every shop and all the teenagers listen to it, its like skanky music hahahaha. here is a video of some reggaeton. click that link
they had it on for ages until the batteries ran out hahahahaha it was really....annoying and hard.

so the bus played movies, like on small tv and guess what? they played BACK TO BACK MOVIES for almost hte whole trip!!!!

i totaly just watched, over ten movies in a row. ahaha
they were all dubbed in spanish, and were all action movies.

the first was a movie with steven seagull and JA RULE, i never realised how hot ja rule is until i had to stare at his bratty face for two hours, and the whole movie is just about them being the "new" alcatraz and shooting guns and trying to get out.

the next movie was called something like, THE CASTLE SIEGE part II. and it was like set in medieval english times, but the lead character was an "white aussie bloke" with a boomarang and he used the boomrang to like fight the evil sorcerer in the castle ahahhahahaa it was so weird and the characters all had different accnets like some had american some australian and some british.....it was so weird.

there was THE KNOWING with ...i dont remembe his name, that dickhead. um, he is in faceoff and also that movie that the googoo dolls song is from, anyway its terrible its about god and fate and like the 6th sense and contact and phenomenon mixed together.

there was a movie about jewish ppl hiding in the forest from the nazis during the war

there was a videomix of 128 hits of the 80s with like 30 seconds from each song, mixed together into a one hour mix, that they played on repeat for FIVE HOURS !!!!! seriously

ARE YOU BORED of reading about these movies yet??? imagine watchign them....!!!
icant even remember the other ones. oh yeah they played australia. the baz lurhman one.

we only stopped TWICE in 28 hours

the view was crazy, it was desert the WHOLE TIME, but not like central australia desert, it was like, giant mountains that are made of yellow and brown rock, with nothing on them, just desert. and we were driving on these crazy raods that are like, carved into the massive rock mountains........for 28 hours... i dont have any pics but shelagh took some and when i get hold of them i will put them here.

so amazing, can you believe it.

now we are in arica, which is this amazing dsert town in the north north north of chile.
we met up with Neve´´s friend Ricardo, an anarchist whose studying organic agriculture and now he is gonna take us to the beach!!!

we were walkig thru the city and this woman came up to me and handed me a flyer and a really intense tone in her voice. i looked at it, it was all in spanish but some words i still understood like, woman, murder, assualt, violence, and i was shit its for a rally , we gotta go. so a few days later we met up with RANO and went to this MASSIVE rally .....it was totally incredibel. the story is that in chile alot of men are murdering there wives, bashing them to death and this was a rally against it, it was fucking huge and all sorts of ppl of different age and class and gender and sub culture. seroiusly like g randmas and punks.....then atfer we went to a teerrrrrible terrrible shit salsa karaoke bar with RANO and waited like 2 hours and they never chose our song and did horrible dancing omg and at the end our bill was 60US dollars!!!! arrrgh!!!

the city is cool its beautiful , the old buildings are so important its a pity they are getting knocked down , b ut its cool you walk down the streets and its all like colourful old terrace houses fro m the 50s and 60s in cool colours, and heaps of political graffi ti eve rywehre!! i keep seein the love anarchy symbol ahhaaha and yesterday we saw anarchy and squat.
there is a two day anti imperialism, free political prisoners festival on this weekend, we are gonna go ,i saw this big wheatpasted street poster and i said to shelagh i must go and show our solidaridad (solidarity) but its hard to tell with this stuff cuz some ppl we have asked are like, hmmm we dont know anyhting about that its probably the communist party..... i am unsure, i mean if there correct i guess its like how if you were in australia first time and saw all those socialism posters you would be like, wow im totally against homophobia and look here, a poster advertising a talk about this!! perfect!! hahahahahaha but actually so sh it..

well since being here i really really have felt that studying permaculture for this last year has been so soso important and relevant, especially coming to a place so differnt to australia and im really excited about going back to school next year and doing more stuff. there is so much actions we can take to make small and big differences with permaculture knowlege HOLY SHIT man.
